Creating a new account with ProTools
If this is your first time using a Brain Gauge you will need to register for a new ProTools account. To get started, plug your Brain Gauge into a USB port on your computer. Then launch the app from your desktop (Windows) or applications folder (macOS, ChromeOS). Once your computer recognizes the Brain Gauge, a registration form will appear.
Enter your first name*, last name*, email address, and a password. Check the Terms of Service box, and then click Register.
*Operators and clinicians: please enter your name when registering for a new account, not the name of the patient or subject who will be testing.
Note: Windows 7 users will likely need to download the device driver before the registration page will appear. There are two options:
1. If you have disabled Windows Updates, click on the Start menu and type services.msc into the search box. Hit Enter, and the Windows Services dialog will appear. Scroll down until you see Windows Updates. Right-click on the box and select Start.
