If your computer is unable to detect the Brain Gauge before or during testing, unplug the USB cable and then plug it back in securely. You can also try closing and restarting the app. If neither of these options work, please contact us at support@corticalmetrics.com.
*Windows 7 users will need to download the device drivers the first time the Brain Gauge is connected (including for existing accounts created on a different computer). There are two options to do this:
1. If you have disabled Windows Updates, click on the Start menu and type services.msc into the search box. Hit Enter, and the Windows Services dialog will appear. Scroll down until you see Windows Updates. Right-click on the box and select Start.
2. If you would like to keep Windows Updates disabled, you can directly download and install the USB drivers:
